Greg J. Vangellow
President, R.W. Dake & Co., Inc.

Greg Vangellow is unique to the construction industry, having converted from banker to contractor. Greg purchased R.W. Dake & Co., Inc. in January 2002 at the age of 31 and currently serves as the company’s President. Letting the professionals handle the estimating and construction, Greg’s responsibilities include finance, human resources, risk management and sales.

Prior to purchasing R.W. Dake, Greg served as the company’s Commercial Banker with M&T Bank for seven years as a vice president in the Rochester Middle Market Lending Division. Greg has served as a board member for the Small Business Council and as an Honorary Board Member for the Mental Health Association.

Greg has an MBA from the Simon Graduate School of Business at the University of Rochester and a BA in economics from the University of New Hampshire. Greg and his wife, Deb, have three children and live in Fairport, NY.

Mark Bristol
Vice President – Operations

Mark Bristol is a veteran construction professional who has first-hand knowledge of each job within a construction company. Mark started with R.W. Dake in 1982 as a truck driver. It didn’t take long for Mark to make the transition into the field as a union carpenter. Mark started as an apprentice and eventually became one of the Company’s lead foreman running the biggest jobs. In 1998 Mark became an estimator. Mark’s ability to form strong working relationships with numerous customers led to a promotion to vice president in 2002. Mark is a vital member of the senior management team and a minority owner in the Company. Mark is our resident expert in raised access flooring, having installed numerous flooring systems.

Mark’s extensive project achievements include working with clients such as M&T Bank, Citizens Bank, J.P. Morgan Chase, Paychex and others. In addition to his estimating and project management duties, Mark handles all of the manpower decisions and oversees the Company’s safety program.

Mark is particularly proud of his work in the field at the Frontier building downtown and the U of R Computer Science building. As an estimator, Mark’s work at Paychex’s executive offices and main board room, Finger Lakes Racetrack Porte Cohere, the Paychex Data Centers and the Wegmans Data Center stand out as excellent examples of what we can do. Mark serves on the Prattsburg School Board and the Duck's Unlimited Board.

Mark and his wife, Aimee, have four children. They currently live in Prattsburg, NY.

Lee Goodridge
Vice President – Estimating

Lee Goodridge is a seasoned construction professional with specialized knowledge in cleanroom construction and large industrial projects. Lee joined R.W. Dake in 1982 in our Elmira office and directly worked with company founder Bob Dake. Lee ran the R.W. Dake warehouse for a year and was then promoted to a full-time estimator. Lee was promoted to Lead Estimator in 1996 and again to his current role in 2002. Lee is a vital member of the senior management team and a minority owner in the Company.

Lee’s experience in the construction industry is vast. Successfully completed projects on his resume include Corning Inc. – John Street, ITT Building 6, Frontier Data Center, Xerox Bldg. 218 XODD Cleanroom, Corning Inc. DSL Cleanroom, and U of R NANO Cleanroom. Lee has cultivated strong relationships with customers such as LeChase Construction, Xerox, Frontier, and Wegmans.

Lee was a flight mechanic in the U.S. Coast Guard, and holds an Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technologies from Corning CC. Lee and his wife have three grown children and live in Marion, NY.

Tom Halter
Director of Finance

Thomas Halter came to R.W. Dake & Co., Inc. in March 2015 to become the Director of Finance. Tom’s role incorporates the oversight of day to day financial operations and human resources. He is supported by a talented staff that provides both excellent internal and external customer service.

From 2009-2015, Tom performed the role of CFO at a Rochester based machine tool distributor. Prior to that, Tom enjoyed a 13 year career at an international bank as a VP, Commercial Banking. Tom served on the Board of Director for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Rochester from 2004-2008, and the Board of Directors for Camp Good Days & Special Times, Inc. from 2010-2015. Tom is also an Active Member of Rochester District Basketball Officials Board 60.

Tom graduated from Fairport High School in 1991 and obtained a BS in Accounting from LeMoyne College in 1995 and a MBA from Canisius College in 2004. Tom and his wife, Christina have two boys and live in Fairport, NY.

Marty Bianchi
Project Manager & Operations Manager – Paint Division

Marty Bianchi is a second generation construction professional, with over 30 years of project management experience in the painting and finishing industry. In 1998, following 13 successful years with Patrick M. Bianchi, Inc., Marty was recruited by R.W. Dake & Co., Inc. to start up and manage a new painting and finishing division. This division quickly became an integral part of the construction services offered by R.W. Dake & Co., Inc. Marty's expertise in project Management, combined with his in-depth knowledge of products and applications, allows him to focus on client satisfaction. His team consistently delivers the job each client expects - safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Over the past 30 years, Marty has developed strong relationships with, and successfully managed projects for, a wide range of commercial clients (both large and small) across different business sectors. Many of these clients are leaders in their industries and in our region, including: University of Rochester, Rochester Institute of Technology, Wegmans, Xerox, Kodak, Paychex, Bausch & Lomb, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics, Carestream, Corning, Frontier, Harris Beach, M & T Bank, Citizens Bank, J.P. Morgan Chase, Citibank, Reliant Federal Credit Union, Thomson Reuters, United Way, and all Monroe county school districts.

Marty graduated cum laude from St. Bonaventure University, with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Sciences and a Minor in Finance. He lives in Penfield, with his wife of over 20 years, and their daughter.

Martin Sherry
Project Manager

Martin Sherry is the type of construction professional who has “been there, done that.” Joining R.W. Dake in 2000 after a 20-year construction-related career with Kodak, Martin has established himself as a consistently strong contributor to the Dake team. Martin is the backbone of R. W. Dake’s industrial work, having worked or managed work in most of the major manufacturing settings in Rochester.

Martin’s extensive project achievements include successfully managing several of our large client relationships including Eastman Kodak, ITT, Carestream, and LeChase. Specific jobs that stand out are the Eastman Kodak Cleanrooms, ITT clean rooms and RF Harris.

Martin has one grown daughter and resides in Rochester, NY.

Keith Holbrook
Warehouse Manager

Keith has been the warehouse manager since 2000. Prior to that Keith worked for R.W. Dake in the field for one year and as a truck driver for one year.

Keith has been instrumental in implementing our bar coding equipment tracking software and coordinating equipment and material deliveries across our entire footprint.

Keith is a 1993 graduate from Wayland Central Schools. Keith and his wife, Brandy, have two kids and live in Atlanta, N.Y

Todd Thomson
Vice President/Regional Manager– Western New York Office

Todd Thomson manages our Western New York office and has worked for R.W. Dake since graduating from high school. Over the course of his 28 years with R.W. Dake, Todd has gone through the apprenticeship program, worked as a journeyman and then foreman, and was one of the Company’s superintendents for five years. In 2004 Todd transitioned into his current role as project manager and started our Western New York Office. In January of 2014 Todd was promoted to Vice President and is now a minority owner in the business.

Todd has successfully managed our largest customer for the past six years and has most recently formed working relationships with several other new customers. Over the past 28 years Todd has developed an in-depth understanding of the needs of the financial sector in all aspects ranging from branches to data centers. There are too many great jobs to list for Todd, but the most recent and exciting jobs include a large data center expansion for M&T Bank, and numerous floor renovations and office expansions for the bank as well.

Todd's education has purely come from on-the-job training, and he has created an exceptional regional office for R.W. Dake. Todd and his wife, Lisa, have two grown children and live in Perry, NY.

Justin Dwight
Project Manager

Justin Dwight has been employed with R.W. Dake since 2010. He quickly went through the apprenticeship program becoming a journeyman in just over 2 years and is one of the newest additions to the Project Manager Team in the Western New York Office . Justin is a young project manager who is very ambitious and strives to take on the next challenge. Having a strong knowledge of construction in the field combined with a great foundation of estimating from his educational background, Justin has quickly shown how much of a positive impact he makes on a day to day basis.

Justin graduated from Alfred State College on Deans Honors List with a degree in Building Trades/ Building Construction. Justin and his wife Mandi reside in Wayland with their two sons.

Tim Thomson
Project Manager

Tim Thomson has been in the construction field since 1992. Since joining RW Dake in 1998, he has completed the Carpenter's Apprenticeship Program, worked as a journeyman and then moved into the position of a foreman. In 2004, Tim transitioned from the Rochester Office to the Western New York Office. In 2014, Tim was elevated to his current position of Project Manager.

Tim has managed many large projects for RW Dake. Which included the construction and remodeling of bank branches, additions to large corporate office buildings, and remodeling of data centers.

Tim earned his Associated Degree in Criminal Justice from Genesee Community College. He has been an active member of the Perry Fire Deparment since 1990. He and his wife, Kari, have two sons and reside in Perry, New York.

Tony Bertini
Project Manager

Tony began his career in the construction field as a carpentry apprentice in 2004. After extensive training and fieldwork, Tony was a Journeyman in 2008. Tony joined R.W. Dake in 2011 as a journeyman in our western New York office. Tony quickly made a positive impression and began running projects as a foreman in early 2015. Tony is now taking the next step in his promising career and beginning the transition to a project manager.

Tony and his wife reside in West Seneca, NY.

Mike Walker
Project Manager/Regional Manager – Corning Office

Mike started with R.W. Dake in 1997 as an apprentice in the Carpenters Union. Mike quickly rose to the rank of foreman and was one of our lead field guys who was consistently challenged with complex jobs. In 2009 Mike accepted another tough challenge, to manage our Ithaca office as a project manager/estimator. Mike is the fourth project manager that we have who has made the transition from field carpenter to project manager/estimator. Under Mike's guidance, R.W. Dake has successfully relocated its office to Corning, NY. Mike has done an excellent job cultivating new relationships and is particularly proud of our work at LeChase at Corning Incorporated.

Mike has an associates degree in criminal justice from Finger Lakes CC. Mike and Aimee have two daughters and reside in Wayland, NY.

Kyle Drum
Project Manager

Kyle Drum has been in the carpentry trade since 2002. He started with R.W. Dake in 2005 as an apprentice through the Carpenters Union. In a short time, Kyle was a working foreman on many projects. The progression was natural for Kyle to become a Project Manager and he has operated in that capacity since early 2015. He has worked on many challenging projects in and around the Corning and Ithaca areas.

Kyle and his wife, Natasha, have two children and live in Wayland, NY.

Ryan Barber
Project Manager/Regional Manager - New Jersey Office

Ryan Barber joined RW Dake in 2016 and has over 13 years of experience in the construction industry. He oversees the construction management services of the New Jersey office. Ryan develops new business for RW Dake and maintains quality relationships with existing clients. His focus is on client satisfaction and open communication to ensure all projects are executed with efficiency and professionalism.

Ryan brings a vast understanding from multiple perspectives having a formal education in architecture and working as the owner and contractor. Ryan monitors every phase of the construction process, beginning with preconstruction, and works hands on with project managers and field operations to ensure that all projects are delivered on time and, often, under budget.
