First Niagara Bank

Working with Ciminelli Development, we were able to successfully complete a conversion from a kiosk type drive thru ATM machine to a stand alone drive-up ATM, in one business day. As a result, we were able to limit the customer’s lack of access to this ATM and helped maintain the relationship between First Niagara Bank and its customers.

As a series of several ATM replacements being done, R.W. Dake was approached for its expertise in working in the banking marketplace. We responded by sending one our fully equipped trucks and experienced work force in conjunction with our electrical subcontractor partner to expedite the changeover from one style ATM to another.

This project presented several planning and implementation challenges. The ATMs had different physical dimensions; different needs for protection; and different needs for electrical, security, and communication access. After surveying the sites with Ciminelli Real Estate, a plan was formed to reroute the existing electrical and communication elements from the existing canopy, down through conduits to through the existing concrete island and up into the new
machine.

R.W. Dake assisted in the removal and disposal of the existing kiosk building and then set to work on making the changes. Throughout the course of the day, R.W. Dake worked with its partners to trench for and prep the new electrical and communications feeds. We then assisted in setting the ATM, and installed five protective bollards with bollard sleeves to protect the ATM and its new electrical feed. We then repaired the existing canopy, and installed a custom cover over the conduits to maintain an aesthetically pleasing installation.

R.W. Dake’s preparation and experience allowed for all obstacles encountered during the planning and implementation phases of the project to be swiftly and effectively overcome, minimizing the impact on both our customer and their customers.
